Return to Duty Process

Education | Resources | Support

The Return to Duty Process is a series of six steps that a driver must complete upon getting notified by the Medical Review Officer (MRO) that they have a violation in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. At the moment of notification, the driver is considered prohibited from operating a commercial motor vehicle and performing safety-sensitive functions as specified by the Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

At LOTR Recruiting & Transportation Services, we specialize in RTD Education & Prevention, providing Resources and offering Support to drivers that are in Prohibited status. Once a driver is cleared to Return to Duty, our team works to connect the driver with a 'Sponsor' trucking company.
